Flight Helmet Maintenance Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time role predominantly based at our facility in Derby for a Flight Helmet Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will also be expected to work at our customer locations throughout the UK for periods of up to 1 week at a time. The responsibilities include performing maintenance, testing, fault diagnostics and repair of ALPHA and HGU flight helmets and related Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE). The technician will also enforce preventive maintenance protocols, ensure equipment compliance with safety specifications and document all maintenance activities in line with company procedures and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, repair and rectification within an Air Worthiness environment.
  • Skills in Fault Diagnostics and Preventive Maintenance techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to follow technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Aircrew Life Support Equipment or similar technical products is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently on site within an Operational Air Environment both individually and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with airfield driving and working regulations.
  • Relevant certification or qualification in technical maintenance or an engineering-related field is preferred.
  • Applicant must be over 25 years of age with a full UK driving licence in order to drive lease vehicles.
