Crew Particulate Protection – Respirator with Microphone Adaptor

We’ve taken our knowledge of Aircrew Protective Equipment and developed a particulate protection solution, initially as a necessity to keep Air Ambulance and Emergency Services crews operational during the Covid-19 pandemic. The solution for helicopter crews combines top level filtration protection with clear communications. Working in consultation with CorPro, Air Ambulance crews and a technical design partner, we’ve taken CorPro’s excellent HM1400 industrial half mask particulate respirator & filter system and turned it into an aviation respirator. Using our unique HMA adaptor we transform the respirator into an essential piece of of aviation equipment for helicopter crews.

HMA is compatible with all flying helmets and headsets equipped with U172/U microphone connector. We retail a number of configurations, if you don’t see yours here, please ask.

M7 Electret version – uses the M7 microphone fitted to the helmet microphone boom arm (we can provide suitable DC type M7 Electret microphones if yours isn’t compatible).

M87 version – uses a self contained Pambry dynamic mask microphone.

Microphones fitted to both versions of HMA will provide clear communications and won’t compromise the safety of the wearer.

The HM1400 half mask respirator is dual use, it can be combined with HMA for airborne crew use or as a ground based respirator for Paramedics in fast response cars/ambulances (two filters).
